POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Management Executive (SPME) to oversee the daily operations of a diverse portfolio of multifamily properties. This role serves as a crucial link between Asset Management and Property Managers, guiding and mentoring site teams to ensure adherence to best practices in the industry.

The current portfolio includes multiple communities with a significant number of affordable housing units and a dedicated staff.

The SPME will be responsible for the comprehensive management of all multifamily properties, ensuring they are operated and maintained in alignment with the physical, financial, and social objectives of the organization, as well as meeting the standards set by third-party clients and regulatory bodies. This role collaborates closely with various departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality housing and resident services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop site teams, focusing on the training of Property Managers and Operations Staff in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Prepare and review monthly property reports, including financial summaries and variance analyses.
  • Conduct regular site visits to provide mentorship and address ongoing operational challenges.
  • Prepare and present status updates to the leadership team and Board of Directors.
  • Guide staff in regulatory compliance and oversee responses to inspections and findings.
  • Identify team strengths and areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster a positive and professional work culture within site offices.
  • Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Oversee budget preparation and financial management for property operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to define roles and responsibilities effectively.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  • Address resident concerns and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Manage the Property Management team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure properties are managed in compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain positive relationships with relevant agencies.
  • Work with the Real Estate Development team to integrate property management considerations into new projects.
  • Oversee the marketing and leasing processes for new properties.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to prepare operating budgets and long-term management plans.
  • Evaluate vendor contracts annually to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Analyze financial and occupancy reports for presentation to leadership.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive relations with residents and community stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Property Management within the affordable housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of housing programs and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to lead diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in property management software and financial analysis.
  • Ability to engage with diverse community groups and address their needs effectively.
  • Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
  • Commitment to the mission of promoting affordable housing.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in management, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in property management are advantageous.
