About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a key member of our Electric Vehicle Development Division, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our next-generation electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications
  • Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis
  • Develop circuit schematics and PCB layout
  • Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, and supply chain functions throughout the organization
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in power electronics product development
  • Familiarity with IGBT, MOSFET, and power modules
  • In-depth knowledge of three-phase traction inverter
  • Hands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools
  • MS or PhD in EE
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EMI troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with motor control
  • Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products
