Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in ophthalmic assisting techniques while addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and warmth.
  • Execute the responsibilities of an Ophthalmic Technician as instructed by healthcare providers, including vision checks, intraocular pressure assessments, and obtaining patients' eyewear prescriptions.
  • Gather comprehensive medical histories from patients.
  • Assist in mentoring and training new technicians, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere.
  • Conduct various diagnostic evaluations.
  • Exhibit excellent attendance, reflecting a commitment to patient care and team collaboration.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
  • Educate patients about the products available in-house.
  • Contribute to team meeting agendas and participate in presentations as required.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours, demonstrating punctuality.
  • Monitor personal productivity and responsibilities, adapting methods to enhance service quality.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor characterized by cooperation, self-motivation, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Comply with all practice protocols and regulatory standards, taking responsibility for reporting any potential issues to management.
Essential Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in data entry and typing.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical office operations and terminology.
