- Monitor and Record Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Administer medications and treatments as directed by our veterinarians, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
- Prepare Animals for Surgery: Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures, demonstrating a strong understanding of animal behavior and anatomy.
- Take and Develop X-rays: Take and develop X-rays for diagnostic purposes, utilizing your knowledge of animal anatomy and medical conditions.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a veterinary technician program or relevant certification, and previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common medical conditions, as well as proficiency in performing routine veterinary procedures such as vaccinations and blood draws.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and veterinary staff, and strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
