Job Description

At SafeSplash+SwimLabs Newington, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lifeguard. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and students in and around the pool area, preventing and responding to emergencies, and providing emergency care and treatment as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act immediately and appropriately to secure their safety in the event of an emergency.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports.
  • Presentation of a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintenance of a high standard of customer service.
  • Performance of various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Ensuring the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance with American Red Cross standards.
Requirements:
  • Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant, and swimmer.
  • Previous swim instruction experience is required.
  • Ability to successfully complete all lifeguarding pre-requisites to American Red Cross standards.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs.
