About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Behavioral Health Educator/Licensed Social Worker to join our team at Evernorth, a new business within The Cigna Group. As a key member of our health and wellness team, you will play a critical role in improving the lives of our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite face-to-face customer coaching and support to help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Assess and prioritize customers' bio-psycho-social-medical needs, connecting them with resources within their community or through their health and wellness benefits.
  • Utilize strong clinical acumen and understanding of behavioral and medical diagnoses to coordinate with behavioral, medical, and pharmacy team members to address customer concerns in real-time.
  • Identify customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities and refer them to other Cigna clinical programs, EAP, or client-specific health and wellness programs as clinically appropriate.
  • Collaborate with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized evidence-based goals, and support them in achieving those goals.
  • Empower customers to become active participants in their own health outcomes and assist them in overcoming barriers to better health.
  • Lead and support various health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching, wellness challenges, and health-related seminars.
  • Collaborate with matrix partners to support the overall health and wellness strategy for aligned clients.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a requirement for this role.
  • 3 or more years of post-license mental health experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with at least 3 or more years of experience in health and wellness.
  • Knowledge and experience in accessing community resources to help customers with basic needs.
  • Experience in health coaching/health education a plus.
  • Current ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED Certification.
  • High energy level, dynamic presentation skills, and effective conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Positive role model in demonstrating healthy behaviors and passion for health improvement.
  • Ability to work independently, customer-centric focus, and ability to proactively collaborate professionally with clients and matrix partners.
  • Understand and own various clinical targets and outcome measurements, developing action plans that drive clinical value for customers and clients.
  • Proven administrative abilities, with strong computer and software application skills.

  • Clinical expertise in areas such as Musculoskeletal, Metabolic/Diabetes, Oncology, Maternity/Fertility, and Mental Health.
  • Chronic Disease Management experience.
  • Motivational interviewing training/experience.
  • Smoking cessation and diabetes experience.

This role is based in the administrative office in Washington DC. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
