Key Responsibilities
  • Application Review: Review and evaluate life insurance applications to determine acceptability and make informed decisions regarding approval, modification, or declination.
  • Information Gathering: Gather and analyze information from various sources, including medical history, financial background, and occupational hazards, to make informed decisions.
  • Communication: Communicate with field sales teams, customers, and vendors to gather information and provide updates on application status.
  • Decision Making: Make authoritative decisions regarding application approval, modification, or declination, up to specific standard and substandard limits.
  • Training and Development: Prepare presentations and training materials to support underwriter and sales agent development.
Requirements
  • Education: 2-year college degree in Finance, Business, or Economics.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in the life insurance industry.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; strong communication and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
