Position Overview

This role is accountable for the administrative setup of claims as well as the preliminary assessment of claims, which includes but is not limited to verifying eligibility, assessing coverage limits, understanding policy requirements, and managing group contacts and preferences. Responsibilities also include updating member information in billing systems and addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders promptly.

Essential Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of claims experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of claims experience
* Experience in Customer Service
* Strong organizational abilities
* Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Familiarity with state regulations, statutes, and ERISA
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Proficiency in PC applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes

Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of ECM, STAR (Claims System), Genelco/GIAS, Siebel, UTS, Casetrak, Docsql, Benefits Manager, ImagePlus, and Index Assist Tool
* Strong mathematical aptitude and critical thinking skills
* Attention to detail

Work Arrangement: This is a flexible position requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Compensation: Base Pay Range: $27.15
