We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform visual and measured inspections of materials and products to ensure conformance with standards and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of quality processes and tools, as well as experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual and measured inspections of materials and products to ensure conformance with standards and regulations
  • Utilize inspection tools and measuring equipment to ensure compliance with TrinityRail policies and procedures
  • Apply quality processes and tools under the guiding rules of the AAR and FRA
  • Perform nondestructive examination to verify specified dimension, strengths, and other quality factors
  • Complete and maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment
  • Conduct compliance examinations to verify specified dimension, strengths, and other quality factors
  • Under supervision, perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of manufacturing and repair defects
  • Under supervision, conduct routine Quality Program compliance audits
  • Research inspection objectives to facilitate understanding of the program or activity to be inspected
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a quality role in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to work Day shift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of operational function to be inspected
  • Ability to perform and oversee visual and measured inspections using various measuring instruments and inspection equipment
