Job Summary

TrinityRail is seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Technician to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual and measured inspections to ensure conformance with standards and regulations.
  • Complete inspection records and reports, and follow appropriate codes and regulations.
  • Perform a variety of standard testing processes on in-process or final products during manufacturing or inspection, and record and analyze results.
  • Lead a team of quality inspectors and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Train quality inspectors on new procedures and equipment.
  • Independently apply and use quality science and tools to improve processes and products.
  • Complete and maintain certification on measuring and testing equipment.
  • Conduct compliance examinations to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Research inspection objectives to facilitate understanding of the program or activity to be inspected.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices, and may be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
  • Work efficiently with Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a quality role.
  • Must be able to work the Day shift.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations within the rail industry.
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of operational function to be inspected.
  • Ability to perform and oversee visual and measured inspections using various measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
