Job Summary:

As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for our patients. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to capture precise images that aid in accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, utilizing your knowledge and skills to ensure high-quality images are produced.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions in a service-oriented manner.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure and ensure patient safety.
  • File work, reception, and computer tasks, including PACs functions, to maintain accurate records.
  • Administer contrast media as directed, adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including patient transport and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CT technologist within the past two years or six months in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
  • Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
  • Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
Notes:

This is an on-call position that will support the Sunnyside Medical Center CT operations.
