Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, biopsy, and special procedure examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • File work, reception, and computer functions, including PACs.
  • Administer contrast media as directed and follow established departmental directives.
  • Assist with screening patients for contraindications and participate in quality assurance functions.
  • Restock supplies, clean, and maintain the general order and cleanliness of the assigned room.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CT technologist within the past two years or six months of experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year.
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology.
  • Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
  • Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field.
