Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for our patients. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will operate CT scanners and other radiographic equipment to capture precise images that aid in accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, utilizing your knowledge and skills to ensure the highest quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions in a service-oriented manner.
  • Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure and ensure patient safety.
  • File and manage patient records, including PACs functions.
  • Administer contrast media as directed and follow established departmental protocols.
  • Assist with patient screening, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year of experience as a CT technologist within the past two years or six months in an acute hospital setting.
  • Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification within one month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with helical and/or multi-detector technology.
  • Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses.
  • Organizational skills, time management, and technical skills.
