Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Systems Engineer, you will:
- Conduct systems engineering and integration activities for the design, manufacturing, testing, and certification of flight hardware.
- Guide cross-functional teams in the development of requirements and specifications for aerospace systems.
- Support various phases of hardware development, including design, procurement, fabrication, testing, and mission delivery.
- Review and analyze technical documentation and reports to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Create and evaluate testing and certification plans to validate system performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in flight hardware.
- Assess the quality and effectiveness of engineering outputs and processes.
- Collaborate with team members and report on project status and challenges.
- Adhere to established guidelines and procedures while performing job functions.
- Be prepared for occasional travel to support hardware development and testing activities.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. The following qualifications are preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with mechanical system design and engineering principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
- Capability to visualize complex systems and engage in problem-solving within a team environment.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and work independently.
- Experience with flight hardware or Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS).
- Knowledge of organizational processes and procedures within aerospace projects.
