Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our team at Mclaurin Aerospace. As a Spacesuit Test and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and testing EVA spacesuit systems.

Your primary focus will be on performing project and test engineering functions, including developing essential documentation, designing tests and test rigs, and coordinating test activities with NASA test facilities.

You will also be responsible for setting up and executing tests, preparing summary reports, and becoming a certified Suit Test Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and test EVA spacesuit systems
  • Develop essential documentation, including test plans, hazard analyses, and test procedures
  • Coordinate test activities with NASA test facilities
  • Set up and execute tests, and prepare summary reports
  • Become a certified Suit Test Engineer
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the field or a related area
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a project engineer or test engineer
  • Experience with NASA test processes
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical hardware elements and data acquisition systems
