A Day In The Role
As a Tax Accountant I, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring compliance through the preparation of federal and state income and franchise tax returns for all affiliated entities, which involves: Gathering and analyzing financial data and tax regulations to compute tax adjustments, and reviewing tax form guidelines to guarantee accurate reporting.
Creating supporting documentation, maintaining tax records, and downloading computerized general ledger data into Excel spreadsheets, transforming the data into the necessary format for transfer to One Source Bridge software.
Processing tax returns via One Source GoSystem using BridgeEngaging in communication and coordination with accounting staff/controllers to address any inquiries or issues arising from data analysis.
Assisting tax seniors in the preparation of quarterly taxable income estimates (federal and state) and year-end calculations for all entities.
Researching taxation issues related to various entities and shareholders.Supporting accountants in reviewing categorization and coordination of unique transactions.
Assisting with diverse special projects.
Corresponding with tax authorities regarding notices.
What We Require From You
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution is required.
2-4 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Ability to apply sound judgment.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or progress towards obtaining the certification is preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.
While executing the responsibilities of the position, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate effectively, and remain stationary for a significant portion of the workday, frequently accessing, inputting, and retrieving information from computers and other office productivity devices.
The associate is regularly required to navigate the office and corporate campus. The associate must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Travel Requirements
