Cybersecurity Governance Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our cybersecurity governance efforts, ensuring the effective oversight and accountability of our technology and cybersecurity practices. This role will develop and maintain a comprehensive security governance framework, aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, SOC2, and CIS, as well as experience in planning, designing, implementing, and managing technology and cybersecurity governance and controls frameworks in a regulated industry. They will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver complex data in a concise and understandable manner.

This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity architects, engineers, and technology operations teams, to ensure the consistent application of policies, standards, and controls across all technology projects, systems, and services. The successful candidate will also lead an annual technology and cybersecurity risk assessment, develop and build the controls matrix, and educate and influence technology project teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive security governance framework
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of policies and controls
  • Lead an annual technology and cybersecurity risk assessment
  • Develop and build the controls matrix
  • Educate and influence technology project teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in planning, designing, implementing, and managing technology and cybersecurity governance and controls frameworks in a regulated industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST, SOC2, and CIS
  • Ability to prepare and deliver complex data in a concise and understandable manner
