Position Responsibilities


The Inventory Management Supervisor will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Inventory Control team, enabling the successful execution of operational objectives.

This role involves cultivating and advancing key customer relationships and operational partnerships essential for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in inventory management.

  • Ensure timely monitoring and reporting of customer inventory accuracy and shrink to site leadership.
  • Optimize site inventory processes and systems to guarantee:
    • Care, custody, and control of customer inventory.
    • Accuracy in inventory records.
    • Effective use of information technology.
  • Provide necessary documentation to meet compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of proactive and reactive cycle counts in alignment with service level agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and validate procedures, controls, and systems to prevent, detect, and rectify errors in inventory transactions and balances.
  • Apply continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, inventory accuracy, compliance, and timely completion within budget.
  • Create and maintain reports to track inventory accuracy, shrink compliance, and identify root causes of variances.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of internal and customer systems to support operational teams and address inventory and production-related issues.
  • Ensure proper identification and handling of damaged products for disposal or return to inventory.
  • Develop labor plans and budget for equipment needs for review with site leadership.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or 4+ years in inventory control, logistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the logistics industry.
  • 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in an inventory control supervisory role or unit pick environment.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems such as JDA, Red Prairie, Manhattan, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Inventory Control and its financial and operational implications, preferably in an e-commerce fulfillment context.
