The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying and establishing sources for the acquisition of goods, services, and materials while overseeing the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the contracting process for essential commodity categories across North America.
  • Act as the company's representative in negotiating agreements and developing supplier policies.
  • Evaluate market trends and delivery systems to forecast material availability.
  • Oversee budgets for the Purchasing Department.
  • Create and enforce purchasing and contract management guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of staff involved in sourcing and inventory management.
  • Generate reports on market conditions and pricing of goods.
  • Address and resolve vendor disputes and claims against suppliers.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities or special projects as required.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least five years of experience in Purchasing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Adobe applications, Microsoft Office, and Lotus Notes.
