The Production Assembler role involves the assembly and installation of specialized products tailored for commercial and fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage in sub-assembly or pre-assembly of metal cabinets, partitions, ladder racks, and related components along the assembly line.
2. Install sub-assembled or purchased items as required.
3. Pre-assemble and install electrical components and alarms as necessary.
4. Prepare items for shipping through pre-assembly.
5. Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies as needed.
6. Maintain cleanliness of completed vehicles.
Specific Duties:
- Construct and install both interior and exterior components in vehicles.
- Adhere to wiring diagrams and schematics for electrical installations.
- Uphold production standards for sub-assembly and line tasks.
- Ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Complete necessary documentation as required.
- May operate a motor vehicle as part of the role.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Recycle materials as necessary.
- Foster a safe working environment while maintaining good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
- At least 3 months of experience in a related field.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or collaboratively.
- Proficiency in English, capable of understanding and executing written and verbal instructions.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required forms.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, twisting, and overhead reaching.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Remain physically active throughout the shift.
- Use hand-held power tools such as drills and impact guns.
- Lift 25 to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
- Utilize hands and fingers for grasping and assembling various objects.
