Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer 4 to join our team at CDM Smith. As a key member of our environmental engineering group, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop water and wastewater treatment facilities, water and sewer systems, pipelines, and pump stations to meet client project requirements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as firm policies and practices.
  • Conduct site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications.
  • Update design requirements as necessary and contribute to the firm's technical knowledge management by developing white papers and technical design documentation.
  • Collaborate with sales staff to create proposals in response to client requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Review and submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in states where an EIT is not obtainable.
  • At least 5 years of related experience.
