Job Summary:

The Human Resource Representative will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Human Business Partner with complex and specialized administrative tasks. This includes reviewing job applications, managing employee records, and generating reports. The successful candidate will have responsibilities in HR operations support, recruiting, employee engagement, onboarding, employee relations, training, and communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Creating job postings, screening, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring process for all locations.
  • Managing employee records in Workday, ensuring accuracy and completion of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, and organizational structure.
  • Tracking active job openings and received applications, managing internal and external job postings.
  • Conducting preliminary interviews and adding disposition codes to applicants in Workday.
  • Ensuring Affirmative Action compliance in all recruiting, promotions, and terminations.
  • Supporting company-wide information meetings, such as open enrollment, annual wellness programs, and meetings to announce changes in retirement or benefits plans.
  • Collaborating with the HRBP on performance management issues.
  • Analyzing exit interviews and making actionable recommendations based on data.
  • Supporting annual and ongoing projects, such as performance review and salary planning processes, and talent management initiatives.
  • Administering and executing human resource programs, including disciplinary matters, hiring, disputes, and investigations.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
  • At least a 2-year degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee engagement, or other HR fields.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Pasadena and/or LaPorte locations, with occasional travel to other locations.
  • Ability to sit for periods of time and work on a computer.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at times.
