Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our receiving dock(s) and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and delegate tasks to day shift employees to ensure efficient warehouse operations
  • Direct activities between buildings and docks to optimize logistics and supply chain management
  • Monitor performance of forklift operators and recommend disciplinary actions as needed
  • Receive and process products using RF technology to ensure accurate inventory management
  • Perform duties as a warehouse worker, forklift operator, and receiver to ensure seamless operations
  • Coordinate manpower and key points with supervisor/manager to ensure effective team management
  • Comply with health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure the warehouse is in inspection condition at all times
  • Assist with the management of lumpers and outside carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery
  • Safely operate power material handling equipment to prevent accidents and injuries

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work scheduled, assigned times and required overtime
  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location, throughout shift
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer, and dry
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
  • Basic computer skills to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of warehouse and/or distribution experience using forklift and/or pallet jack
  • Team Lead experience
  • Administrative support work experience
  • Warehouse systems experience, i.e. Voxware, scanning, AS400, formula-based pay plans
  • Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
