Healthcare Assistant

This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and preparing exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
You will also give injections, assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs, and apply splints, dressings, and bandages as directed by physicians. Additionally, you will assist with transfers, scheduling follow-up care, and coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.

What You'll Do- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and preparing exam rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Give injections, assist with lab testing and phlebotomy needs, and apply splints, dressings, and bandages as directed by physicians.
- Assist with transfers, scheduling follow-up care, and coordinate patient physicals and workplace injuries for partner accounts.
- 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is preferred.
- Experience using an EHR system is very helpful.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
- Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is helpful.
