Dialysis Patient Care Specialist

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch patient care and supporting our mission to prioritize individualized care for patients with chronic kidney disease.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver prescribed treatments and ensure safe care for every patient. Your responsibilities will include guiding new patients through our 120-day education plan, obtaining and recording patient vital signs and machine readings, and monitoring patients during dialysis.

Responsibilities- Actively participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
- Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
- Role under RN supervision
- Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
- Insert and remove patient access needles
- Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform charge nurse of any concerns
- Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
- Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
- Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
- Maintain and track inventory
- Perform laboratory work
