Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit and nurture team members while offering ongoing educational opportunities for departmental advancement.
  2. Develop and oversee team member assignments and scheduling.
  3. Engage effectively with hospital administration and other departments to establish clear expectations and align objectives.
  4. Collaborate with registered dietitians and executive chefs to create innovative menus.
  5. Manage vendor partnerships and oversee food inventory and ordering processes.
  6. Implement team-building initiatives to foster a positive and secure work environment.
  7. Oversee the food service department budget.
  8. Conduct quality assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  9. Work with the regional vice president to devise improvement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in food service management preferred.
  • ServSafe Food Service Manager Certification required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in food operations.
  • At least 3 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Certified Dietary Manager Certification preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with facility administrators and team members.
