We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized patient care and support to meet the daily needs and comfort of patients, including performing Nurse Aide skills within your scope of practice.
  • Accurately transcribe and process provider orders, and maintain accurate and up-to-date written information in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and effective work processes, and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate the flow of patients throughout the medical center, ensuring timely and accurate transfers and discharges.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
