Recovery Center of Ohio, LLC is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati. As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals reclaim their lives from addiction and substance use disorders.

Job Summary:

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will use their personal experiences to develop meaningful relationships with clients, acting as a mentor and role model for recovery. This position requires strong interpersonal and engagement skills, as well as knowledge of HIPAA guidelines to protect client confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with connecting to community organizations, resources, and supports needed to promote growth and recovery
  • Provide recovery education to clients for every phase of the recovery journey
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community groups and agencies
  • Promote client self-advocacy
  • Assist with client arrival and departure, transportation, and coordination with the treatment team
Requirements:
  • Peer Support Certification
  • Current Adult CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of addiction and community resources
  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines to protect client confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills
