Nursing Role:

As a LPN LVN at Providence St. Joseph Health, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to delivering world-class health with human connection. Your role will involve providing safe and appropriate bedside nursing care to patients, managing patient assignments effectively, and assisting co-workers as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining an orderly appearance of the patient's room and unit work area, supporting the patient's right to safety, privacy, and confidentiality, and administering approved medications according to hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in change of shift report with supervising RN, plan and organize nursing care for a specific group of patients, using the appropriate resources.
• Contribute to development of an on-going plan of care based on the information gathered, including patient teaching and discharge planning needs.
• Provide safe and appropriate bedside nursing care to a specific group of patients, manage patient assignment effectively, and assist co-workers as the need arises.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of the patient's room and unit work area, support the patient's right to safety, privacy, and confidentiality, and administer approved medications according to hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Current LPN LVN licensure in the state of practice.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
