Executive Tax Consultant

As a key member of our tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with corporate income and payroll taxes across various jurisdictions. This position requires exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Responsibilities- Manage and develop a team of employees, fostering trust and providing necessary resources for their success.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for income taxes (ASC 740), including preparation of corporate tax accruals, deterred tax calculations, Fin 48 reserves, and related footnotes.
- Prepare federal and state income & payroll tax returns for legal entities within the company, compile tax information from various systems, analyze results, and provide accurate information.
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners to evaluate tax implications and risk of proposed business initiatives, advising on process improvement and ensuring compliance.
- Gather data, perform research and analysis during audits, ensure accurate reporting, identify potential challenges, and advise on appropriate tax alternatives.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis, keep projects on schedule, communicate status and challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 3 or more years of accounting and corporate tax experience.
- Possess understanding of accounting for corporate taxes and the tax code, technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance as it relates to income or payroll tax.
- Ability to think creatively when new business changes or laws are proposed to enable operations to remain cutting-edge while minimizing tax exposure.
- Advanced technical research skills with the ability to obtain accurate conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
