Project Overview: This role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, timelines, quality standards, and subcontractor coordination.

Role Summary: The Project Superintendent serves as the primary onsite authority, responsible for managing the daily operations of construction projects. This includes collaborating closely with the Project Manager to maintain budgetary controls, coordinate subcontractor efforts, and uphold superior quality benchmarks. We seek a dedicated, team-oriented individual with a robust background in construction supervision, eager to contribute to the expansion of our national hotel portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following tasks are essential to this role:

· Supervise daily operations of assigned construction projects and facilitate weekly safety and subcontractor meetings.

· Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors to ensure clarity on expectations regarding communication, safety, and quality.

· Collaborate with subcontractors, designers, and the Wasatch DC Builders NW team to address conflicts and propose effective solutions.

· Establish and enforce a comprehensive safety program to ensure a compliant and safe working environment, fostering a culture of zero accidents.

· Implement a quality assurance program to guarantee that all work is executed to high standards, minimizing rework and punch list items.

· Develop and manage the project schedule using MS Project to monitor progress and provide forward-looking schedules for subcontractor coordination and timely procurement of materials.

· Track subcontractor performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues, mitigating cost impacts on the project.

· Assist the Project Manager in ensuring that the project complies with all design and regulatory requirements.

· Coordinate all necessary inspections with specialty and city inspectors, including utility company interactions.

· Engage with local residents and businesses to minimize disruptions and address any construction-related concerns.

· Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with contracted scopes of work.

· Oversee an efficient project closeout process, resolving issues promptly to ensure a seamless transition into hotel operations.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the Project Superintendent position should demonstrate the following competencies:

· A strong commitment to safety and quality, reflected in their ability to maintain an organized and clean job site. OSHA 30 and SWPPPS certifications are preferred.

· Proficient problem-solving skills with the foresight to identify potential issues before they arise.

· Excellent communication and construction administration abilities.

· Experience in managing direct labor and subcontractors to foster accountability and achieve results.

· Strong capability in interpreting construction documents.

· Proven experience in preparing and managing construction schedules.

· A solid understanding of construction budget management.

· Exceptional writing skills for drafting correspondence and reports.

· Familiarity with space layout, design, and construction drawings.

· Outstanding organizational, analytical, and logistical skills.

· A self-motivated individual who can maintain a broad perspective while managing multiple deadlines.

· An independent leader who will represent Wasatch DC Builders NW onsite throughout the construction process.

· Detail-oriented with a strong follow-through capability and a proven track record in problem-solving.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project; experience with Procore is advantageous.

· Background in wood-frame construction and multifamily or hotel projects is a plus.

· A passion for process improvement and a desire to enhance the construction process continuously.

· A willingness to learn and adapt, demonstrating flexibility in job roles.
