About the RoleWe seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nursing Care Assistant to join our team at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN. This includes administering treatment and personal care procedures, performing selected patient care tasks, retrieving and recording patient data, and participating in the transport of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer treatment and personal care procedures to patients
- Perform a variety of clerical tasks involved in operating the organization's patient care information system
- Retrieve and record patient data in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Participate in the transport of patients
We require a High School Diploma or equivalent and listing on the Nurse Aid Registry of North Carolina, Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor in North Carolina, or Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician by The Academy of Addiction Professionals or the American Medical Certification Association. BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation.
