Overview:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing the cleanliness and presentation of guest accommodations. This role requires both oversight of housekeeping staff and active participation in cleaning duties to ensure that all rooms meet established cleanliness standards.


The Supervisor will ensure that rooms are prepared promptly for guests, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and order.


Responsibilities:
- Foster a welcoming and courteous environment for guests and staff.

- Conduct daily inspections of rooms assigned to housekeeping staff to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.

- Address any deficiencies found during inspections and communicate them to the housekeeping team.

- Ensure that corrections are made promptly and re-inspect the rooms.

- Maintain accurate records of daily assignments and ensure they are submitted to the housekeeping office.
- Supervise laundry operations as needed.
- Collaborate with Guest Services to address any discrepancies regarding room status.
- Manage the assignment of duties for housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas.

- Report on the status of out-of-order rooms to management.

- Initiate and follow up on maintenance requests.
- Assist in training new housekeeping staff.
- Oversee the completion of routine maintenance and cleaning projects.
- Ensure that special requests from guests are handled with care.
- Strive for overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant coursework in hospitality management is a plus.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and 20 pounds frequently.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and staff.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
- Comply with safety and operational regulations to ensure efficient hotel operations.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate operational needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and show initiative in addressing guest needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
