Job Description

The Early Years Development Center seeks a qualified Lead Teacher to join our team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for older toddlers. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment that fosters the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of our young charges.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling children's records and sensitive information.
  • Implement daily lesson plans, monthly newsletters, and calendars to ensure a consistent and engaging learning experience.
  • Demonstrate patience, calmness, and a loving approach to every child, promoting a secure and supportive atmosphere.
  • Contribute positively to the behavior and social interaction of the children, encouraging empathy and kindness.
  • Build strong relationships with the children, their parents, and center management through regular communication and updates.
  • Keep a detailed diary of daily events for parent perusal, ensuring transparency and openness.
  • Report any accidents, illnesses, or unusual behaviors to center management and parents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure seamless communication with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or CDA certification is required; an associate degree is recommended.
  • CPR certification and training are necessary.
  • A complete background check and health examination are mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a preschool setting is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with babies and toddlers is essential.
  • Patient, nurturing, and thoughtful individuals who excel in communication skills are preferred candidates.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
