Patient Service Coordinator

As a Patient Service Representative at Intermountain Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients and families. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and check-in patients, verify their information, and ensure a smooth and efficient experience. You will also be responsible for updating patient demographics, insurance, and contact information, as well as assisting with scheduling appointments and processing payments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients in a professional and welcoming manner, assessing their needs and ensuring they are met.
• Verify patient information, update demographics, and assist with completing necessary forms.
• Schedule appointments efficiently, utilizing provider templates and scheduling guidelines.
• Process payments and requests for financial assistance, following appropriate procedures.
• Coordinate with other care teams and employees to provide a seamless experience for patients.
Requirements:
• Six months of customer service experience, with a focus on interacting with customers.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing and data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One year of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office setting.
• Problem-solving ability, analytical skills, and self-motivation, with a focus on working well in a clinic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment:
• South Sandy Clinic
• Sandy, Utah
• 40 hours per week
