Mechanical Superintendent

MWH Constructors is seeking a skilled Mechanical Superintendent to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant in Sandy, OR. This project will supply 135 million gallons of water per day to the Portland community, making it a historic infrastructure and filtration project.

As the Mechanical Superintendent, you will oversee the process mechanical installation and supervise the installation subcontractor to ensure the work aligns with the project implementation plan. Your responsibilities will include ensuring safety, quality, project schedule, and cost control, as well as reviewing and approving subcontractor construction plans and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of your crews and maintain a safe work environment.
• Review and approve subcontractor construction schedules and plans.
• Coordinate subcontracts and ensure compliance with project technical requirements.
• Assist in resolving construction problems and ensuring adherence to drawings and specifications.
• Manage field inspections and ensure quality control and assurance standards.
• Document compliance with quality control procedures and report non-compliance issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction industry and supervision experience.
• Prior experience and familiarity with current standards for process mechanical in the water infrastructure environment.
• Thorough understanding of construction safety, quality control, and contract management.
