Job Overview: The Pest Control Technician is responsible for delivering pest management services across various facilities and properties. This role involves traveling between sites to ensure effective pest control measures are implemented.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in structural pest control.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must be at least 19 years old at the time of hire.
- Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report in accordance with University policies.
Additional Requirements: Candidates who are not current employees of the University of Alabama must successfully complete a post-offer drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO) and household pest control from the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries is highly desirable.
Background Check: All final candidates must undergo a pre-employment background investigation. Prior convictions will be reviewed individually and do not automatically disqualify candidates.
