Job Overview

Channel Personnel Services is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager, Design and Execution Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the front-end loading and design engineering of projects, including option selection, scope development, change control, cost estimating, cost control, and scheduling development and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide technical support during construction and commissioning/startup of the project, ensuring correct installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain all project-related documents, including Project Study Basis (FEL1), Project Study Report (FEL2), Project Design Basis (FEL3), and Authorization for Expenditure, with applicable backup documents such as Process Spec, project cost estimate, project economics and justification, Project Execution Plan, and Project Schedule.
  • Execute detailed design and material purchases for assigned projects, including plot plans, layouts, 3D models, equipment specifications, discipline engineering packages, and quality control.
  • Assist Procurement with source selection, requirements, bid evaluation, and expediting as needed.
  • Provide project execution coordination and assistance to Process Engineering, Operations, Construction, and other groups on their related project responsibilities.
  • Monitor and report on cost, cash flow forecasting, schedule performance, change order management, scope management and control, management of contract project engineering work, material quality checks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of job-related experience.
  • Good knowledge of commonly used industry engineering standards, practices, and procedures specific to the oil refining process.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written/oral communication skills.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility.
