Staff Hardware Design Engineer

Supermicro Computer's Hardware Designing team is seeking an experienced Staff Hardware Design Engineer with extensive board design knowledge to be involved in the design and development of motherboards - the core component of our server products.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with Product Manager to optimize product specification, analysis technical and feasibility.
- Responsible for schematics capture, layout checking, BOM generating, and debugging and testing of server motherboards / add-on cards / backplane products.
- Collaborate with layout engineers, validation engineers, software engineers, firmware engineers, product engineers and other teams to discover and solve any engineering issues in early stage to ensure and enhance the quality of the products.
- Prepare technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Accomplish the products to conform to engineering specifications, EMC and energy regulations, and customer performance expectations.
- Provide the clear documents and strong technical supports to the contract manufacturers and production department during the product sample and production stages.
- Support Technical Support Team and Field Application Engineer for ensure quality for entire product life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering preferred and Master's degree is strongly desirable.
- Minimum 12 year of experience working with PCB design or layout experience is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout.
- Hand-on experience on lab oscilloscopes and debugging skills.
- Strong communication, written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experiences on PCB design in enterprise networking servers is a plus.
- Must have the ability to work well with cross functional team effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and problem solving capability.
- Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Please note that this position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role.
