About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cognitive Intervention Specialist to join our team at the Glen Ray Goodman Transfer Facility in Jasper, Texas. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in helping at-risk individuals receive the treatment they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver cognitive intervention education and life skills classes to clients
  • Supervise client offender work functions and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
  • Monitor client behavior and report incidents to the treatment team
  • Provide regular feedback to staff on social skills procedures and intervention techniques
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record
  • Completion of Correctional Awareness Training (CAT), training for trainers (T4T), and Cognitive Intervention Programming (CIP)

  • Full-time schedule with Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
