Role Overview
The Insurance Claims Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting brokers by managing claims efficiently. This position requires effective communication with insurance carriers and ensuring smooth claim settlements while maintaining accurate records and addressing client inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Promptly submit claim documentation to insurance carriers upon notification.
- Handle inquiries via phone with professionalism and efficiency.
- Engage courteously with clients and external parties.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to accelerate claim resolutions.
- Provide brokers with timely updates regarding claim progress.
- Assist with various tasks related to claims as required.
- Ensure precision in processing and settling commercial claims.
- Establish rapport with claims representatives and underwriters.
- Maintain comprehensive records within the agency management system.
- Collaborate effectively with team members.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial claims within the insurance sector.
- Preferred: Active NJ license for commercial insurance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Outstanding communication and multitasking skills.
- Thorough understanding of commercial insurance coverages and claims procedures.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in insurance management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AMS360/ImageRight is advantageous.
- Capability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
