We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Regional Disaster Officer to join our team. As a key member of our disaster response team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of our disaster cycle services program throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Disaster Response Efforts: Oversee the implementation of disaster response operations in the region, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services to those affected.
  • Develop and Manage Disaster Response Teams: Direct and manage a team of disaster response professionals, including employees and volunteers, to ensure the successful execution of disaster response operations.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and national stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of disaster response efforts.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all disaster response operations are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and American Red Cross policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as emergency management, disaster response, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in disaster response, emergency management, or a related field.
  • Management Experience: 5 years of management experience in a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Experience: Experience in project management, particularly in emergency response or disaster recovery.
  • Emergency Response Experience: Experience in emergency response, disaster recovery, or a related field.
