Position Title: Area Event Manager

Job Summary:
We are in search of an experienced Area Event Manager with substantial experience in large-scale hotel operations (1,000+ rooms) to oversee the seamless coordination and execution of various events across multiple venues.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of conference groups within the Loews Orlando Area Hotels.
2. Review and ensure accuracy of conference turnover received from the Sales Department.
3. Initiate professional communication with clients upon receiving their files and maintain regular contact to foster positive relationships.
4. Collaborate with the Area Associate Director of Conference Management on menu development as required.
5. Create and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders to outline all event specifics for client approval.
6. Monitor group room blocks and manage room pick-up to optimize revenue.
7. Communicate group requirements effectively with operational departments to ensure readiness and satisfaction.
8. Schedule and coordinate pre- and post-convention meetings as necessary.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction during their stay.
10. Maintain accurate records in conference management systems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in hotel management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and Guest Room Management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and creative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Meeting Professional designation.
- Familiarity with diagram writing software such as Meeting Matrix or Social Tables.
