Core Responsibilities
- Safeguard the poultry and facility by ensuring all access points are secured against potential threats and unauthorized access.
- Maintain accurate records of daily and weekly tasks completed.
- Perform sweeping and cleaning duties across various building sections and corridors.
- Conduct janitorial tasks in communal areas such as break rooms, restrooms, and offices.
- Oversee the sorting, washing, and drying of work uniforms and footwear.
- Distribute essential safety supplies to staff.
- Request necessary safety materials and supplies from the appropriate procurement personnel.
- Carry out pre-operation checks on all vehicles and equipment.
- Provide transportation for personnel across different areas of the facility as required.
- Maintain the shuttle service for site transportation.
- Implement bio-security measures for all individuals entering the premises, including employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:
Education and Experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a production agricultural setting.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Proficient in tracking and documenting activities accurately.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of agricultural operations is preferred.
- Able to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated reliability with a flexible work schedule.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Positive demeanor and teamwork orientation.
This role requires frequent standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment
Employees may encounter moving machinery and airborne particles, with temperature variations based on external conditions. The noise level is typically moderate, and appropriate personal protective equipment is mandatory in certain situations.
