About the Job

The High Companies seek an experienced Highway Infrastructure Construction Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the structural engineering department, you will play a crucial role in developing installation calculations and procedures for heavy civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on bridge and heavy highway structures is highly desirable.
  • Develop detailed designs and specifications for steel and precast concrete bridge superstructures, precast concrete parking structures, and precast concrete architectural cladding.
  • Collaborate with erection personnel to provide sound engineering directives as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with governing specifications such as AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI, and Owner Standard Specifications.

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer license, or ability to become a licensed PE/SE.
  • Progressive structural engineering experience in steel and precast concrete design, bridge design, or erection engineering field is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for working effectively and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in effectively working directly with erection personnel to provide sound engineering directives as necessary.

Salary Estimate:

$83,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
