POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility is to maintain cleanliness and order in all assigned guest rooms while adhering to established housekeeping protocols and safety regulations to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
1. Thoroughly clean guest accommodations and replenish necessary supplies in accordance with prescribed standards while observing safety and security guidelines.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collecting and disposing of waste
  • Changing bed linens and making beds
  • Sanitizing bathrooms
  • Dusting and sweeping guest areas
  • Washing windows and balconies (80%)
  • And any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or management
    2. Organize, restock, and maintain the housekeeping cart in line with established procedures and safety protocols. (5%)
    3. Receive keys, supplies, and special room requests from the Executive Housekeeper. Return keys and unused materials at the end of the shift. (5%)
    4. Address guest inquiries and report any issues or complaints in a courteous manner to ensure guest satisfaction. (5%)
    5. Notify the Executive Housekeeper of any lost items, damages, or maintenance issues and return items left behind in rooms. (3%)
    Additional Responsibilities:

    Assist the Executive Housekeeper with prioritizing tasks and provide support as needed. (2%)

    Job Requirements (Knowledge/Skills):
    Education: No formal education required
    Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping preferred
    Skills and Abilities: Ability to perform cleaning tasks during an eight-hour shift, basic communication skills in English, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and ability to meet appearance standards while interacting with guests.

    Work Hours:     Schedules may vary based on operational needs. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.

    Physical Job Requirements

    Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying Regularly maneuvering a loaded supply cart (up to 75 lbs), transporting replacement items to designated floors, arranging linens, and operating cleaning equipment.

    Bending/Kneeling: Frequent bending and kneeling required for cleaning tasks and making beds.

    Mobility: Movement required to access all areas of responsibility including closets, windows, and under furniture.

    Continuous Standing: Required to stand and walk throughout the shift.

    Climbing Stairs: May involve climbing stairs occasionally.

    Driving: Not required.

    Work Environment: Primarily indoors during shifts.

    Job Requirements:
    Hearing: Must be able to hear guest requests and questions.
    Vision: Required to meet cleanliness standards.
    Speech: Ability to communicate effectively with guests.
    Literacy: Basic reading and comprehension skills necessary.
    Chemicals/Agents: Standard cleaning products utilized.
    Protective Clothing: Gloves and goggles may be used as needed.
    Equipment Operation: Familiarity with cleaning equipment is necessary.
