Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized dietary meal plans for patients, including conducting weekly calorie counts and monitoring progress.
- Conduct dietary intake assessments on admission and document patient progress throughout treatment.
- Facilitate nutrition groups and provide education to patients and their families on healthy eating habits and nutrition.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure the best standard of nutrition and dietary services are provided.
- Enforce dietary program policies and provide guidance to patients on food choices.
- Communicate with medical and psychiatric teams as needed to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field and completed accredited dietetic internship.
- Registered Dietitian certification in the state of practice.
- Preferred one year experience in dietary counseling.
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field.
