Jax Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and maintaining continuity of care through accurate and thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patient interactions in the clinical setting by reviewing charts, schedules, and medical records.
- Generate appropriate forms for patient education, informed consent, and documentation of care.
- Obtain medical records, lab results, and diagnostic study results as indicated.
- Ensure a therapeutic and sanitary environment by inspecting the physical care environment and maintaining fully stocked medical supplies and functional equipment.
- Communicate with internal and external resources to procure necessary supplies and information.
- Collaborate with internal departments and personnel to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- One or more years of experience as a medical assistant, CMA preferred.
- Procedure Room Tech experience preferred.
- Able to measure and record vital signs, manually and electronically.
- Pain management office experience a plus.
- Basic computer knowledge required.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Able to multi-task efficiently and effectively in busy and/or stressful situations.
- Able to read, analyze, interpret, and write medical records and documentation.
- Able to record patient information, including a working knowledge of medical terminology.
