Job Title: Physical Therapy Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will assist our therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your role will involve preparing patients for therapy sessions, assisting with exercises, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist therapists in preparing patients for therapy sessions
  • Help patients with exercises and strengthening techniques
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Prepare heat and ice packs, paraffin dips, and other treatment equipment
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers
  • Monitor patient physical exertion levels and report any concerns to therapists
  • Provide information to patients and answer questions
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The staff member can regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
