Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional service to both pets and their owners. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Encouraging pets to enjoy their grooming sessions, including playful interactions like getting them to shake off water.
  • Participating in our complimentary training program through the esteemed Paragon School of Pet Grooming, preparing you for a future as a professional groomer.
  • Becoming proficient with grooming tools and equipment.
  • Learning the techniques to bathe and style dogs according to breed standards.
  • Receiving a complimentary grooming toolkit valued at over $600 upon enrollment in the Paragon school.

Essential Duties

As a Groom Tech, your daily tasks will involve:
  • Providing grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to ensure pets look and feel their best.
  • Acquiring and showcasing the skills necessary to advance in the grooming profession through our online training program.
  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of all pets in your care.
  • Building lasting relationships with pet owners by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products and services.
  • Maintaining a clean and inviting grooming environment.
  • Completing required safety training certifications.
  • Assisting fellow team members during quieter grooming periods.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess:
  • Experience in retail or a related field, particularly with pets, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • The physical ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The capacity to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
  • Competence in reviewing instructional videos and completing online assessments.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and pass a drug screening (where applicable).
